Committed to a thriving, sustainable community (cont.)
City engineers conduct a wide variety of studies and review different options to protect natural and community resources as road projects progress. Road construction can impact landscapes and ecosystems – the city includes reviews of cultural heritage sites, surveys and protection/mitigation plans for landmark trees, endangered species reviews, mitigation for floodplain impacts, and protections for streams and creeks in every road bond project.
On the Old Stagecoach Road project, after exploring multiple options with specialists and certified arborists, the City Council voted to relocate a heritage Live Oak tree from its current location near Old Stagecoach Road to a city-owned easement in the Six Creeks subdivision.
Every aspect of the road bond, from scheduling to finance, is available to the public with schedules, schematics, and other details available on this website, kyleroadbonds.com.
